Another Garden Spider

Another Garden Spider
Lurking in my garden (with dozens of others)..!!

I like the background bokeh in this shot, it reminds me of military camouflage!

If you can bear it, it looks much better viewed large, on black.

Special K, Gudrun, Bernard Walbyx, Susanne Hoy and 21 other people have particularly liked this photo

It is fantastic viewed large Keith! I see what you mean about the background colours :)
A few nights ago we had the biggest spider I have ever seen, run across the carpet...I had to find a wide glass to cover it and place outside....sorry spider, but it had to be done!

Cracking close up Keith really fine detail captured here. Not my favourite but when I see them on the ceiling I tend to leave them there, I draw the line at one being under the bed covers as was a couple of weeks ago.

Such a beauty!!! Such wonderful details and clarity! How I adore orb weavers. This one reminds me of my darling Roscoe...I had no idea that I had the capacity to fall in love with a spider. But I did. Looking through all of these pictures again put tears in my eyes, missing my little friend...

Oh! And thank you so much for the comments on my last presentation, I'm so glad you had a nice time looking through the pictures! :)

Yes, I agree--I prefer non-formal gardens but this one gets a pass! :D

And finally, thank you for the warm birthday wishes!

I illogically hate spiders, but at least this one is outside. We have loads of these at the moment, stretching across all the paths. It can be off-putting.

Ha,ha. Before I retired and was shift working, sometimes I used to have to leave home very early and in the dark. I kept an old walking stick next to the door and I used to walk along the front pathway between the trees and hedges waving the stick in front of me to clear the cobwebs!

I often wonder if any of my neighbours spotted this madman waving a stick around at invisible enemies :-))

Thanks Susanne...........glad you approve. They do look quite monstrous through a macro lens - this one is about 3 times life size!
