The mill is really beautiful and I can understand that you like to photograph it. You captured the mill very well. I like the faint reflection in the water.

LOL, it's just so funny to me that you should howl for the people, ""Not that Mill again!" because I don't know if I've seen ANY of your Mill pictures! This is a fresh subject for me, and to be honest, even if I HAD seen plenty of pictures, I would LOVE to see more because I love to see your view on whatever subject strikes your fancy. And I was laughing because I was saying the very same thing about posting "another" leaf picture. I guess that we shouldn't feel any guilt over posting a well-worn subject. I'd say that we approach the subject correctly by not posting picture after picture of the same subject. So please, Keith, let us see your Mill pictures, and if you have taken some that you are particularly delighted with, please link them to me!! :)

I also wanted to say thank you for your comments on my crocosmias picture...I'm just glowing, for heaven's sake...you are always leaving me in a state of turning into a kitty and rolling around in the sun spot and purring my head off! :D *hugs* And about my writing...*more purring*...I am so touched by your feelings. Truly, I have considered being a writer most of my life...but have never had the confidence to do anything about it. Maybe...maybe... But I will say that Peggy gave me a suggestion that gives me an exciting jolt...to write a story and go to a school nearby to read and share with the children...that would be wonderful. So we will see. And your words...they mean so much to me. *hugs*

Thanks Wilhelm........it was only a working mill up to the beginning of the 20th century. Since about the start of WW! it has been a private residence........and it remains so today.

That's a gorgeous scene, Keith, the buildings are so quaint! Is that black tower a broken windmill, or water storage, or what...? I think I'll go live in it.

Hi Diane. The tower is the remains of the windmill - but it has been like that since the early 1900s. It has been linked to the main house and is now a private residence - so you can't go and live there I'm afraid :-))

It's only accessible on foot when the tide is high (through a gate at the side of the property)!

Interesting! But, I'm upset about not being able to live there. ;-(
