Originally taken at Hythe, a small town near Southampton, Hampshire and posted in September 2012, this image was in a large batch of photos transferred over to IP from Flickr. I thought I would recycle it for today's HBM photo.

Thanks Herb............I don't think it was a buoy. It's known locally as the "Lighthouse Seat", but that's about all I know about it. It sits at the end of a small boardwalk on the sea front looking out on to Southampton water. It's certainly a popular place to sit.

Thank you for all your kind and sometimes amusing comments.................it's a really unusual bench known to the locals as the "Lighthouse Seat". I've been unable to discover anything else about it though.

Der Opa hat wohl eine Runde mit der Kleinen gemacht lieber Keith,ich glaube,er hat es geschafft,das die Kleine mal eingeschlafen ist,hahaha,eine wunderbare Aufnahme hast du gemacht von dieser Szene,das ist auch eine originelle Sitzbank :))
