Small Town
This week in SSC:
Tilt Shift Photography - "A process that uses selective focus to produce an illusion of a scene to look like a miniature."
I've never tried this before. It was fun finding the right type of scene for this challenge. This was taken from the 4th floor of a parking garage right before a downpour. I used "Fotor" online editor for the "Tilt Shift" effect which was pretty handy. I think I'll enjoy playing around with this in the future.
This is the "small town" of Bremerton, Washington featuring the "Roxy Theater" sign which belongs to one of the town's two theaters that have been here since the 1940s. I can't even guess how many times I went to this theater as a kid. Lots of good memories here.
...and for Sight and Sound:
Hal Ketchum from his album "Past the Point of Rescue" (1991)
Live: Small Town Saturday Night
Album: Small Town Saturday Night

Karen's Place club has replied to Roger Bennion clubOh, that is so sad to read about Hal. I know he had a lot of back problems and had gained a lot of weight but I didn't know about the other problems. SO sad for such a neat guy. :(

Excellent view point, and certainly enhancing the colour worked, which in its own right makes a pretty picture!
Of course I remember Roxy Music.. Still have their first LP on vinyl... saw them live a couple of times, but unfortunately the T-shirt hasn't survived the years! (But maybe a photo somewhere of me wearing it!)
Best wishes
Peter
Hi again Karen,
Just as a postscript, being interested in what you have done here (and keen to understand), I did a bit of reading and found a series of articles, of which this is maybe most relevant..
