Manette

Manette
This week in SSC:

Bridges (looks best on black)

We've had such stormy weather this week. I consider myself lucky to catch a little break from it all and get this shot of the Manette Bridge which is one of the few bridges in this area.

"The Manette Bridge is a steel truss bridge that spans the Port Washington Narrows in Bremerton, Washington, USA. It connects the community of Manette, Washington to downtown Bremerton. The Manette Bridge, which was first built in 1930, was listed as structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. In the Spring of 2010, a construction began on a replacement bridge. The new Manette Bridge opened Nov. 10, 2011."

...and for Sight and Sound (Who didn't see this one coming? ;)

Very effective with the dramatic cloudy sky reflected, Karen. A good link too.

Love the light and colour tones here. Beautiful light on the water. Ace composition and that is a great sky! I didn't immediately see this one coming :-) For a brief moment "Bridge Over Troubled Water" started playing in moi head :-) A classic live performance of "The 59th Street Bridge Song".

Thank you, Karen, for posting to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music

Thanks, Roger. Glad you enjoyed the live performance. Yes, "Bridge Over" would have worked but I think it's been used several times so I thought I'd give this one a chance. It's such a cute song. :)
