Message in a Bottle
Sight and Sound
I'm following in Mick's footsteps here with Military Fathers. Please post your own. It's great to celebrate our dads this way.
"Cool Old Photo" time again.
(A little editing for this one to get my dad's picture inside this bottle :)
You guys have seen lots of old pics of my mom, so here is one of my dad circa 1941. He was underage by 1 year for the service (only 17) so he lied about his age to get into the Navy. (I remember always hearing that story as a child.) Although not a career military man he wound up serving in the U.S. Navy, the Army (82nd Airborne) and the Air Force (if I remember correctly) and managed to survive them all.
I thought this song would be a good match for the image.
The Police from their album "Reggatta de Blanc" (1979)
