The Sunday Challenge - Books!

I have always been interested in reading this series, but never got around to committing to it. What a wonderful presentation of this popular fantasy; well done, Karen! :)

Val, my son started reading these in about the 5th grade (he was an avid reader). imho they are as good as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, just different.

Havn't read the books, but saw some of the movies on television. Liked the stories

Thank you Wierd. I guess if you hadn't read the book you might enjoy the movie "Eragon", but when we went to see the movie after reading the first book it was a real let down. People were walking out of the theater they were so disappointed. I remember one guy saying "Well, that wasn't the book I read!" lol

I remember reading that the author said "The director had a very different idea of the story than I did." I got the feeling he was not happy with it either. I think this happens a lot with books and movies. They had some big name actors in it too. This would be something that Peter Jackson would do really well. I hope the in the future it can be given the care and respect that it deserves.
