My Grandparents
The Sunday Challenge "Your grandparents in your life."
As a child I just loved corresponding with my Grandparents. Their birth names were Merle and Bessie, but they had the best nicknames of "Toots and Butch."
They lived in Michigan (USA) and I lived in Washington state so I only saw them a few times in my life. My grandma would send us a package each Christmas filled with presents and home made cookies. One Christmas she sent me my first doll. We were fortunate to be able to have a huge family reunion for their 50th wedding anniversary. They were gone by the time I was 18. I cherish the few remaining letters I have from our time together.
