Waiting for supper
Some bee, some vetch
At my feet
Yellow clover
Not this year's leaf
Norma and Eli
Bluejay being insectivorous
Feral dianthus
The view from my bathroom window a few minutes ago
Blue bells
Shag Rocks
Stacks
Same stack, different view
Next to my head
Learning the ropes
I have forgotten this cove's name
One-sided wintergreen
Not all family shots are scowleries
Two for joy
Cabbage white eating hawkweed
Shaky but pretty
Some bee in the fireweed
Gone to seed
Something will break your fall
Lupin
Focus? Why?
On display
Oneof our rhododendrons
Crackers going crackers
Boy and butterfly
Star flower
Potted, not quite forgotten, azalea
And so it goes.
My moss-and-liverwort garden
Fresh leaves
Bluejay, grateful
Dandy Longlegs
My pet pine, my pine apple
Holding up against the rains
My pet pine
Summer's return reminder
Hoverfly, I think
Maybe summer. Maybe.
Brushing my teeth, I look up and see this
Juniper, frisky

My favourite European Leopard Marsh Orchid
I retired three years ago so I no longer have much opportunity to check on this, my favourite European Leopard Marsh Orchid, which wasn't far from my office. I used to check it almost every day this time of year, and when I drive by now I wonder about it. So today I stopt and went in search of it.
Due, I suppose, to the lack of gardening work through the pandemic shut-down, it is surrounded by other plant volunteers, like the buttercup (Ranunculus) around it in the picture. There are also "stinger nettles" (really a thistle) in close proximity. but the orchid is doing well. It is about 30 cm tall and showing some cheeky colour in its flower buds.
