AWESOME SHOES!!! Great texture, wonderful angle in this picture, what fun! I used to love to go and try on shoes like this just for fun, and I had a collection of my favorites. Such fun to have these lovely shoes, but wow...OUCH...they are hard to wear for very long! :D

Great idea =) I sometimes take the overlapping background myself, just shooting some texture and detail around after taking the primary picture. Then with various editing techniques one can for example use that texture detail as vignette or do something else with it.
