Lake Effect

After yesterday, today's temperatures seem (almost) mild. But there's this white stuff coming down. I may just stay in the house.
When I lived in Kalamazoo, we always claimed that the real Lake Effect ended around Paw Paw. While there's some truth to that, another truth is that much of Lower Michigan's weather is directly affected by Lake Michigan. Witness today's snow.
On the other hand, many of my friends and relatives are being hit far harder by today's snow than we Lansing-area folks, since they live closer to The Lake.
