A flower a day for January....
Our house was built in the late 1940s in Grand Ledge. The developers who bought it forty years later wanted the land, not the house, and sold the building to our predecessors--one of whom had grown up in the home--for a nominal fee. Those folks moved the house to Mulliken and spruced the place up, intending a gift to their daughter. That didn't work out, so they put it up for sale.
They'd done only minimal landscaping before they sold the place. The front yard had a lawn, and there were a few small bushes close to the house. Behind the house it was field, right up the the back wall.
We've made some progress, since.
