Bridge Street Bridge
My plan for this Portland trip was to get a good photograph of this bridge, which spans the Grand (again) in downtown Portland. The plan didn't go so well--it turned out that most of the pix were either hopelessly busy (if I used the buildings for a backdrop) or blown out (if I used the sky).
This picture, obviously, was an exception. But it doesn't really show the bridge.
==========
Recognizing the problem, I wandered around downtown for a while. Shot the city hall, a couple downtown parks, the railroad bridge, some storefronts, and a fisherman in the river.
It all came together for me when I accidentally found a different angle for the fisherman. 'Twas one of those times I knew when I shot it which photo I'd be publishing. This despite my informal prohibition on publishing similar photographs on consecutive days.
==========
Oh, yes. I also posted this color photo from the session.

This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.

Title of "roll:" Downtown Portland
Other photos taken on 6/27/2012: none.
