Man and his Man, St Agnes
Man and his Man is a feature of the coastline at St Agnes, Cornwall, England. It comprises two high, rocky protrusions from the sea but the farthest one is hidden from my vantage point at the end of Trevaunance Point. Rocks supposed to have been thrown out to sea by a giant. The seagull was convenient for the picture, but soon swooped down to drive me away - it was nesting time on the cliffs below, and it was a big brute.
July 1981. Yashica-Mat TLR camera with Ilford FP4 film, developed in IDXI. Used a 'tripod' made of stones to expose at 1/15 sec, lens wide open at f3.5. (You remember these things.)
June 1981, St Agnes, Cormwall.
Yashica-Mat TLR, Ilford FP4 film developed in Ilford ID11.
This Yashica Mat was, according to its serial number, manufactured in March of 1962. The model was apparently manufactured in a run from 1958 to 1970ish. It has a Copal MXV shutter (1 sec to 1/500 sec plus B) an 80mm f3.5 Yashinon taking lens and an 80mm f3.2 View Yashinon viewing lens.
