Cleistesiopsis oricamporum (Coastal Plain Pogonia)
This was a whirlwind day in the Green Swamp and surrounding area of Brunswick County, North Carolina (including Boiling Spring Lakes) with three good friends: Kelvin Taylor, Melissa McCormick, and Hope Brooks. We were able to see many examples of Native Orchids, Pitcher Plants, Sundews, and Venus' Fly-traps as well as several other rare and unusual wildflower species in their native setting.
