Japanese anemone

Lovely!
I had loads of these in my garden but they tended to floweronly from the 3rd or 4th week of August but they lasted right into December. I suppose the West Country has an earlier season (as I well know from my Mother's Cornish garden as compared to the ones I had in London, years ago!)

Yes we seem to have our own beautiful eco-climate here on the south western part of the UK. The anemone seems to flower for ages as you say, it's wonderful and I have many of these plants all over my garden - it seems to be dropped seeds by the birds, that makes the many little bushes of these lovely flowers.

You are more than welcome, Val. As I don't get out and about much, my garden is all I can take pictures of. Although my cleaner has said her husband, who's a mechanic, will come up and see if he can get my old car going again!!! So maybe I will soon be able to get out and visit the beach and the rivers.
