I quite like the plain round shape
The glitter and the varnish gives a pretty design

I love my tree this year - only baubles and beads.
It is rather laden with baubles but it's worth it
I just love water droplets on vegetation.

The little chick for the new baby
This tree is about 60ft high - why was he up there…
It's a sycamore tree - no nuts up there
He's obviously well fed and has a good coat
He seemed to be eating something?
He kept going from branch to branch
What on earth was he doing up there?
One very deflated frog....

A beautiful flower given to me as a present.
There's quite a storm out there

Such a lot of destruction and mess. A lot of people are going to be getting new cars!

Jenny McIntyre club has replied to DanielleJenny McIntyre club has replied to Stormlizard clubI wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading about your snowy adventure when you lived in a city! I'm so glad that you did it because you experience the magic of being surrounded by snow when it's falling! There isn't anything like it! I also loved what you said: Isn't it funny how you don't think of putting up an umbrella when it snows, yet you get just as wet as if it was raining? It's so true!!! :D It took me a few times of getting soaked after the snow melted before I went out with an umbrella when it snowed! :D It seems so dry, it won't make me wet! WRONG! :D

Regarding your photos over 12 years...EEK! It's such a monstrous project. Better to begin now and work backwards. Jenny, I don't know if you do this, but whenever I upload pictures, I put them into a new folder that is labeled by the date, and then a few words to try to describe the contents, like this: 18.12.06--Frost. In this way, At least I have a CLUE as to what's in there. It really makes a difference. This way you can do a search and at least you have the word(s) to help. Organizing is really important, but it's onerous and we cannot always find the time or interest to do so. I TRY to look through my pictures and delete all of the garbage shots but I fail on a regular basis! MEH! That's life! :)

Please let me know if you have some albums that you would really like me to visit and I'll go there first! (send me links in ipernity mail if you like)
I also wanted to say thank you so very much for your dear comments on my latest pictures. You are such a sweetheart! :) I always love to read what you have to say and you always make me feel so great! :)
Re: my pine cone and acorn picture...I'm glad you found the information interesting too. It was very enlightening to me. And I'm glad you preferred my main picture too...the candle pictures are fine but they don't speak from my heart! :)
Re: my sunrise pictures...I'm delighted that you like them so much! It's really hard to go wrong on a beautiful sunset/sunrise picture, as long as the landscape is attractive. We really are lucky and I know it!! And you wouldn't ever tire of that view...we've been here for over 10 years and I still stand and gawk at the incredible view. :)
Re: your comment about loving the bond that Pumpkin and I have: I have to say, Pumpkin is an amazing bird, and I've been lucky enough to share my life with two other Caiques. Each one has been an incredible experience. Yet, they are not a bird for the timid at heart...they will test you and anyone who cannot handle their feisty personality will quickly be ruled and that bird will be a nasty biter. (it's so sad how many are in bird rescues :( ) It's a terrible shame because these birds are very popular due to their clown-like, playful personalities but they require loving but firm guidance by any who live with the bird. I made mistakes with the first I had, but was correcting the errors when sadly she passed away. My second Caique was a DREAM and I loved her dearly... but when I broke up with my ex, I left Peep with him because she was bonded with a Sun Conure my ex had. It broke my heart not to have her, but after I met Steve, about a year later he told me that he really wanted a parrot (he's had several), and so we got Pumpkin. Caiques are one of the only parrot species that multi-bond, so she loves us both equally. I would not have it any other way, and as it turns out, Steve finally got the relationship he dreamed of with a parrot, and as you know, she's my feathery heart! :)
