Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães
After his death in 1927, Manuel Inácio de Castro Guimarães donated the property to the town of Cascais in his will so that the Cascais Museum and Municipal Library could be built there. Along with the Palace of the Counts of Castro Guimarães, designed by Luigi Manini, and its English-style gardens, the contents were also donated to the village of Cascais; highlights include paintings from the time of its construction, 17th century tableware, oriental porcelain and more than 25 thousand books.
