More than 40 years ago I made registers of daily temperatures inside a future flower store to keep them at 7 Celsius between the harvest and the shipment; and found that the difference from a grey (asbestos cement, grey roof) and the same roof painted white, was on average of 7 degrees Celsius higher when grey.
That had to be paid for in energy, in kW for the of air conditioning.
It is not anybody's fault if I say what I was trained to recognise…
ie. that It is stupid to buy a black car on a sunny city (Kenya city versus ... Amsterdam) but here, I am letting myself speak a way too far…
