The Coa River is a Portuguese river that originates in Fóios (Sabugal), more specifically in the Serra das Mesas, at an altitude of 1,175 m, close to the Serra da Malcata. It runs for about 135 km until it flows into the left bank of the Douro River, near Vila Nova de Foz Côa, at 130 m altitude. It is one of the few Portuguese rivers that travel in a south-north direction.
The Côa river runs through the border area of the Guarda district, in the lands of Ribacoa. It has a distinctly Mediterranean climate. The Riba-Côa area is dominated by woods, pine forests, fortresses (castles), plateaus and fantastic landscapes typical of Beira Interior.

Good evening and good new week.
profonde où coule entre ces montagnes aux sommets érodés, une bien tranquille rivière appelée Coa, les deux chemins qui la bordent donnent une impression de l'emprisonner
