156 Strand and surrounding buildings threatened with demolition by Kings College. Although only nos.152 & 153 are listed, the group gains its strength from being together. The proposal leaves them in isolation and replaces them with dull boxes. The building numbers on 156 are fabulous, rich, confident examples of the English Vernacular letter.

At the planning meeting on 28 April this was passed despite so many objections.
