Milton Holland, who recruited Company C of what what became the 5th United States Colored Infantry at the Athens County (Ohio) Fairgrounds in 1863, is shown wearing his Congressional Medal of Honor that he was awarded for his heroic actions at the Battle of New Market Heights (Chaffin's Farm) outside Richmond.

Can you ID this drawing? There is some real irony in its location if you fast forward about 90 years after it was drawn by Alfred Waud in 1866.
