Seligenstadt - Marktplatz

Das Rathaus am Marktplatz wurde 1823 erneuert und fällt als einziger klassizistischer Bau mit großen Arkaden inmitten von Fachwerkhäusern architektonisch aus dem Rahmen. Der quadratische Turm stammt von der ehemaligen Pfarrkirche, die abgerissen wurde, als die städtische Pfarrei die Einhard-Basilika 1812 nach Aufhebung der Benediktinerabtei übernahm.
