Beginnings
My church was having a dinner today after the service, so yesterday I made a strawberry cake. In a patriotic moment, I made the three layers red, white and blue. I started with a white cake recipe and then added the colors. This is what it looked like before I iced the outside with my homemade cream cheese icing.

Funny you should make this comment now. Just a couple hours ago, we started a new book in the Bible study at my church and it was the beginning of Genesis: "In the beginning...." etc. etc.
