Beam

Beam
When I poured the concrete steps at the back of my house to the pantry, I needed to place a third stud to mount the handrail on. So, to facilitate this, I had to put in a new beam up at the ceiling. The base of the 4x4 inch stud was sealed in the steps I poured around it. As you can see from the hefty lag bolt I used to mount the stud to the beam, it's going to hold for a long time. I have yet to fit the ceiling panel around this area - that's why it still looks exposed.
