Sunny Afternoon

Sunny Afternoon
There were some clouds moving in when I took this picture, so I thought it would make a good pallette for my submission this week. The theme this week for the Saturday Self-Challenge group was to "capture something in motion using a shutter speed of at least 1/500." The sun travels through space at 220 kilometers per second, so it moves at a pretty good clip. The clouds weren't moving quite that fast, but they were ever-changing.

Camera: Sony Alpha SLT-a77v
Lens: Sony DT 18-135mm, f/3.5, @135mm
Shooting Program: Manual
ISO: 100
Aperture: f/36
Shutter Speed: 1/8000 of a second
Date: August 30th, 2019, 6.00 p.m.
Location: Carmi, Illinois, U.S.A.

(Of course I thought of the song right away.) Such a good song... but your image, WoW.

That's a real beauty, Kenny. I always love watching the clouds do this.

The combination of small aperture and short exposure makes it look mysterious!

It wasn't converted to black and white, that's just how it turned out. Probably something to do with the very short exposure and small aperture.
