I posted a shot of this same car a couple days ago in black and white. Here it is in full color for those curious about what it really looked like. The license plates were dated from 1983, so it's been sitting somewhere for awhile.

Dad bought one in the 1976 for $75 dollars. It didn't run and had been through a fence some time or another. I put a new timing chain and gear in it and it fired right up. My little brother drove it until he traded it to my sister for her Firebird ... and the payments that went with it.

I could see a guy wanting a sportier car like a Firebird. I wouldn't mind having one just like this old Chevy, and in the same condition. I think people would be less tempted to break in or steal a car that looks this beat up.

Who says it's a deathtrap just because it's old? It's a lot sturdier than these new plastic cars.
