Star Trek 126 - The Paradise Syndrome

For this shot, I didn't use a tripod. It was taken with a Kodak Instamatic X-15, which I'm pretty sure has a shutter speed of around 1/25 to 1/30 of a second, so the speed was perfect for daylight 100 ASA film. And a steady hand-held shot usually turned out. I do remember that when I used a 35mm camera such as my Minolta XD11, I'd have to make sure to keep the shutter speed at 1/30 of a second or slower or the shutter would leave parts of the screen with marks all the way across the image. But, since these cheap cameras didn't have a good shutter, they never caused this problem. My favorite type of camera for taking pictures of the tv screen was a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash 620 camera. I could take multiple exposures and got up to 20 or more screen captures on one negative. I'll post one to show what I mean.
