1947 Willys Jeep

Another shot from the first roll of 127 I ever used. It was exposed in a Kodak Brownie Holiday camera that was passed down to me from my Grandmother Wright. I'm glad to have finally gotten to use it and "keep it in the family," so to speak.

Looking at the images, it appears that in the center of the frame is a "sweet spot" of focus and toward the edges, the images gets blurrier. As long as your subject is relatively centered, it shouldn't be a problem.

Camera: Kodak Brownie Holiday (made in January 1953)
Film: Efke R 100 127 black and white film
Aperture: F/11 (approximate)
Shutter speed: 1/25 sec. (approximate)
Date: September 19th, 2009
Location: Fairfield, Illinois, U.S.A.

Developing process, chemicals were at 68 degrees:
Kodak D-76 developer: 9 mins.
Ilford Ilfostop stop bath: 90 secs.
Kodak fixer: 7 mins.
Kodak Photo-Flo 200: 1 min.

Great photo! Too bad about Efke stopping production!

I know. When I heard that, I stocked up on some of their 127 before all the stock was gone at B&H.

I was a little late hearing about it to get any at B&H, but I was able to get some at Freestyle Photographic Supply before they ran out. About all they have left now is Rollei Nightbird 800 ISO Color Negative Film. I recently bought a couple of rolls of Bluefire Murano 400 from the Frugal Photographer, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

I've heard about that Bluefire Murano and wanted to get some, but they always seem to be out of stock when I look.

They have some now. The plant that makes it got flooded and they were shut down for a while.
