These are a Beyer-Peacock, first delivered from 1896. It was the D50 cl 2-8-0 of which there were 280. This one is still a saturated type with original short smokebox and tender type. These were preferred for shunting due to being more responsive to the throttle than the superheated ones. Keep looking through the photos for locos in the range 5001 - 5280. There were also 190 D53 cl and 120 D55 cl of very similar design.
