These were withdrawn a year before the last of steam.

Thanks for that. No doubt they were something of a clagmonster, in common with most ALCOs. Our own, UK, Class 40s were smoky at times...

I don't remember the 40cl being excessively smokey but these others could uphold the ALCo tradition magnificently.
