Can I be a tree, when I grow up ?

Forced perspective View towards Noosa Hill and coast in Queensland. Very tricky. For this one I had the choice of focussing on the foreground, the distance or somewhere in between. This is somewhere in between :-) Will definitely try this technique again when I am next at the Eiffel Tower :-) :-) Might be a while! Manual focus, tripod and flash, f/25. Earlier effort in the Note on this image, auto focus, no tripod, no flash, f/25. TSC Forced Perspective. digital-photography-school.com/forced-perspective

Negative Space

TSC 1 June - negative space featuring the colour blue, which cannot be sky. Clue here... Original item Wine Companion Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject(s) of an image. Negative space may be most evident when the space around a subject, and not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space is occasionally used to artistic effect as the "real" subject of an image. The use of negative space is a key element of artistic composition. Wikipedia

Lemonade

Lemonade Citrus x meyeri This unusual citrus is a cross between the Meyer lemon and a true lemon. Many fruits are on it at the moment. The Lemonade is widely grown in backyards throughout Australia. It looks like a lemon, but can be eaten straight from the tree, just like a mandarin or orange. It’s a lot sweeter than a lemon with a refreshing tang. TSC The Sunday Challenge “pushing the boundaries”. Extreme in camera SOOC. Extreme ISO and Macro, zero editing. Handheld. Preferred version in first comment :-) 1/160 f/14 ISO6400 Aperture Priority Macro Lens Ef S 60mm Canon EOS 550D DSLR Alternative (Archive) photo in Note on this image.

thirty nine

Amongst other categories... - In the title of the John Buchan novel and subsequent films (one by Alfred Hitchcock), The Thirty-Nine Steps. - ''39" is a track on Queen's album A Night at the Opera. - In the CBS reality show Survivor, contestants compete for 39 days. Maximum saturation and colour tone in Camera. Canon EOS 550D DSLR. I usually have both of these set at the standard level. I used Shutter Speed Priority as I was crouching down in the road, and wanted a quick shot before any cars came along. Some tiny blemishes removed, no other editing. TSC2 The Sunday Challenge numbers, as simple as that... your interpretation of a number(s) process however you want this week. just make sure we can see at least 1 number. Try out some in camera features you never have before... keep it interesting and challenging.

Rare Arctic Lorikeet

First attempt at cutting out an image using GIMP 2. Wouldn't do this often, very fiddly and time consuming, but fascinating results :-) My Rainbow Lorikeet image, taken 2013 (in note), with a background crop of the Snowman Christmas scene. With thanks for the background image to www.deviantart.com/art/Snowman-Christmas-107371041 TSC2 Challenge... all group members to modify the same original image "Snowman Christmas".
