World Photography Day 2022
Australia is a vast and ancient land mass, with a relatively small population. Most people cling to the areas on the western, southern, and eastern coasts, the centre being sparsely populated due to the relatively hot and dry climate conditions.
So, there is a great affinity with the coast and the ocean.
So this photo for World Photography Day 2022 celebrates the ocean and ancient rock formations.
We are lucky that when we pop down to our local library, just a few minutes away, we can have this experience, seeing the waves crashing near the ocean pool on our closest beach in New South Wales, Australia.

I wouldn't have thought such a place as you photographed would be that close to a larger city. You make it feel like it is completely untouched by humans.
Does your weather change often due to being so close to the ocean? Does that make it harder (or easier?) to have days to photograph outside?
Happy (belated) World Photography Day 2022!
Gillian Everett club has replied to raingirl clubWhere we live is near a coastal village which is five minutes away. It is not very busy, except in the summer holidays. Our nearest town is 15 minutes away, also coastal, and our nearest big city is Sydney, almost 4 hours away. Sydney has some great beaches on the harbour, and also quite nearby on the coast.
Our weather is very changeable, and has been particularly so this year, much more rain than usual, but we are lucky to have many wonderful days.
Well done on hosting the ipernity World Photography Day!
