Thanks Esther. It has been very dramatic, many evacuation orders further south. Our area has been OK, but a few incidents, cracks in roads, major pot holes, etc. that have affected us.

Fascinating to watch the waves, but the changes to the beach are rather frightening!

The storms take the sand away, and then bring it back again. The beach is constantly changing shape.

We are lucky that we can visit it often, not for swimming, just walking.

I would be fond of it too, well... I have Monte Gordo, but in Summer it is a living hell !

Yes it is rather disturbing when the condition of the beach and surrounding area are changed with bad weather. When we have had bad weather from across the Atlantic, I notice that the beach near me does change - it has a long (about 3 miles) pebble ridge and the waves often bring the pebbles down and then the land behind it is ready for erosion.

Yes, our shorelines are constantly changing.
