The Old Dog
Taken for the June theme Black and Colour/s.
The Old Dog.
Extract from label, tribute to the Winemaker's revered grandfather... 'He always spoke with wise and wonderful words, and one saying in particular has always stuck with me, “ It's the old dog for the hard road and the puppy dog for the footpath”.'
Aubergine aka Eggplant.
The plant is native to the Indian Subcontinent. It has been cultivated in southern and eastern Asia since prehistory. The aubergine is unrecorded in England until the 16th century.
