John FitzGerald club has replied to Beatrice Degan(MARS) clubI gather one of the reasons Toronto's buildings are far less ornate than the buildings here in the nineteenth century is that ice kept pulling a lot of the stone detail off onto the streets. Falling glass is much better -- you have a chance to see it coming, for a start.
