Requiem pour nos blés / Requiem for our wheat

Lake Emerson and Palmer...I can say that I grew up with them and their progressive Rock in those years for me 'fabulous' now as , maybe, sweetened by memory.:-)

And more than ever so cleverly and sensitively associated with this image of a golden field of ripe wheat growing freely for us and even, at that age usually so careless of nature's mostly taken for granted magic, it made me pause to observe it, finally in silence, with its red patches of poppies ,in my life, which was , then, something to be bitten and live fast.

The contrast with the background is extremely significant and icastic.
I share so deeply both the message so thoughtfully conveyed by your image and your comment.
