I do the same with my morning coffee grounds, Eva, but mine disappear immediately as they are cast onto mulch and thus they tell me nothing of any importance.
This is a fun photo for World Photography Day. Thank you.

- I am probably biased as I've seen a couple ultrasounds recently because our daughter is pregnant with our first grandchild!
I love that even though you are not going out and about much you find things to photograph. It isn't uncommon in a photography class to have students photograph an everyday object, finding the art in that. You have done just that!
This photo also reminds me of snow and rocks. But I'm curious what drew you to this besides that you do it every morning. Is it that it is a big part of your daily routine, or is there something about the contrast of coffee grounds to white background? I notice that a lot of your photographs are not abstract, but your series of coffee grounds is wonderfully abstract. Are you finding a new interest in abstraction?
Happy (belated) World Photography Day!
I´ve always loved to take photos and now, not being able to go out and take photos of people (that´s what I always loved to do) I find "people" (mostly different kinds of faces) in nearly anything: in the play of light and shadow, in vegetables, roots, stones, rocks, dried out stems of plants and.... coffeegrounds.
I found out I could take good close-ups with my cell phone and as the coffee grounds change every day, there I have my daily challenge and fun.
I always took abstract photos,(and always found faces anywhere) but when Covid started I thought I would send happy people to Ipernity as long as Covid lasts. I hadn´t thought it would last so long.
I hope I answered your question. If not, just go on asking me.
Happy any and all Photography Day!
raingirl club has replied to Eva Lewitus clubIt is fun that our cell phones can do good close ups. Easier than having to have so many different lenses.
There's a name for the human tendency to find faces in things, can't remember off hand what that word is. It's nice that you are trying to do happy people! I think that our world becomes what we focus on, so hope and happiness are things I want to surround myself and the world in.
Speaking of taking photos of people, my daughter did a 'pregnancy announcement' - not something I ever did way back when - and she asked me to take the photos. Maybe I'll post one of them here on ipernity since she has made the announcement now. Definitely photos of happy people!
With my best wishes.Good luck to all,
