So, there was an obvious problem with trying to photograph my eyeglasses... Good thing my macro is the one auto-focus lens i own, and once i figured out how to turn the AF on it worked well enough... :D (I couldn't actually see the little focus-spot-selection-indicator thingy with my eyes off; i just moved it around randomly and then picked the image that made the most sense. Probably would've been quicker and easier to just run down to the car to get my tripod... ;) )
