Pictures from various trips to and through Arizona, except:
Bisbee -- I've been there a number of times, so that's a separate album.
Lower Colorado -- The lower Colorado river area (AZ, CA, and NV south of Las Vegas) feels like a separate and unique culture, fairly often, so those are all a separate album.

Phoenix Public Employee Memorial (1955)
Phoenix memorial to Public Employees who lost their lives in the line of duty. It's a small, enclosed, amphitheater which seems like a noble gesture, but I found its design, with a sloping wall, to be disorienting.

Phoenix Title and Trust (1962)
Phoenix Title and Trust building, opened in 1931 and one of the few remaining examples of Art Deco in downtown Phoenix. While the exterior is much as it was from the beginning, the interior has been reconfigured from being office space to being condominiums. The building is now called “Orpheum Lofts”. The amazing sorts of detailed attention given in the 1930's to even the least visible top floors. Phoenix mural (1973)

A surprising mural for downtown Phoenix, of the Morro Castle fortress that guards the bay in Havana, Cuba.
Phoenix Rennaisance Hotel (1975)
Phoenix Central Ave. railroad overpass (1977)

One of the few remaining indicators of Phoenix downtown having once been the site of heavy passenger rail traffic. The logo on the left side of the picture seems to be a derivative of the Santa Fe Super Chief passenger train insignia. The Super Chief ran from Chicago to LA, through Phoenix, from the late 1930's until the early 1960's.
