Koblenz German Corner flags (#0617)

At the German Corner are the flags of the 16 German states and a US flag. Per the Wikipedia page, the US flag is there as a sign of support by Germany for the victims of the September 11 attacks.

Considering our president’s lack of belief in NATO, I wonder if there has been any consideration of removing the American flag.
