Edinburgh Scottish Parliament (#1113)

The Scottish Parliament Building, home of the same. At the eastern end of the Royal Mile the building, completed in 2004, was designed to present a sense of integration with nature and to reflect a concern with environmental sustainability. While public acceptance of the building has been mixed, it has received a number of architectural awards. It would have been interesting to explore it in more detail, but time was short.
