Mt Tamalpais Steep Ravine trail (#0015)
Along the Steep Ravine trail on Mt Tamalpais. The trail climbs a ravine along a creek and is a glorious but very intimate view of coastal forest.

A friend and I hiked it on a drizzly day in January, as a way to get our minds away from current American politics. The trail is about 1000 foot climb and five miles round trip. Doing it in a drizzle made it even more difficult since the moss-covered rocks and roots were slippery. Despite that treacherousness, we didn’t escape all that much – talking politics through the hike.
