Beethoven, looking stern. If you look at one of the largest versions of the picture you can see many dings in the marble that may be from bullets striking the monument during WW II.

Apparently, from the bios I've seen/read, Beethoven wrote masterpieces but wouldn't be a person who'd be much fun at dinner. Joseph Haydn, OTOH--
(I specified his first name because it turns out his younger brother Michael was also a composer, and is still performed! Michael sounds a lot like Joseph in his younger years.)
