Someday I'll figure out how to capture lava flows! This is much longer, wider, and deeper than it looks here. The sun was also at a low angle, creating the harshness in the colors.

Yeah, I've never been happy with what I get in lava fields, either. These are just hard to photograph.

This looks like a fascinating park. I'd love to see it.
