Community Church Palm Springs (3882)
The lines of the roof and steeple reminded me of Frank Lloyd Wright design. The church's architect was Charles Tanner, who was apparently active in the Palm Springs area in the 20's and 30's. Historically he would have overlapped with Wright, but no information was available to indicate any common influences.

I can sort-of see the Wright comparison, though my suspicion based on no actual knowledge of factual information is that the link isn't direct. A lot big-name architects of the era were influenced by Wright, and these in turn influenced others. I'd make the guess that Tanner combined these tertiary influences with the Spanish mission look of California to come up with this.

Of course, I am speaking from my posterior region, and your guess is as good or better than mine.
