Going batty at Ohio University
Students and faculty at Ohio University turned out to protest the school's decision to get a new home for OU President Roderick McDavis. While the OU Board of Trustees had planned for some time to change the president's residence, a recent event accelerated the move: McDavis's wife broke an ankle when she was startled by a bat flying through the home. Protesters, many of whom regularly rally to protest pretty much everything, thought the money for the new residence would be put to better use if it were spent on them. Here, student protester Ryant Taylor encourages the crowd. The current residence, built in 1899, has housed OU presidents since 1952
