THE SKATER -

In a town where I was passing
Far north of July,
On a great lake, a frozen lake,
A man in black was gliding, gliding.

He had a funny black suit
That must have been worn in the great evenings
Of Austria and Hungary
When they were reunited.

He was a strange wader,
He never leaves my memory.
On one leg until evening
He glided there on this mirror.

He skated, he skated
On one leg he skated
And then the night came,
He had to stop
For the children had to go home.
The show was over.

A beautiful white-haired woman
Came up to him, gently
Put a cane in his hand
And a long coat on his shoulders.

He was a strange wader,
He never leaves my memory!

ca me fait toujours mal au coeur de voir un goeland sur une patte mais ils s'en sortent toujours bien heureusement ca ne les empêche pas de vivre bien entendu quand ils sont pris les deux pattes dans un filet c'est dur .. belle journée l'amie

Moi aussi, je n'arrivais pas à le croire. Mais mes enfants m'ont certifié qu'il était arrivé comme ça et avec aisance (et confiance) dans le jardin************************* (j'admire d'autant plus que, même avec deux jambes, je ne peux plus avancer sans déambulateur.....................
