Edinburgh
The Trinity Tunnel
This is part of the old Granton-Waverly branch line which goes under East Trinity road and a section of housing. This is now part of the pathway network around Edinburgh which uses many dismantled railway lines.
Seed pods

When i first saw these pods from a distance, it actually looked like someone had been out sticking bits of popcorn onto the bushes! (#shouldhavegonetospecsavers)

Cafe reflections
Stopping off for a late afternoon coffee at the local cafe/restaurant I spotted the window sign reflecting in the ice-cream fridge. The back-to-front window writing being nicely reversed by the reflection to match the sign on the wall. And yes, that's me visible too!

Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh from Gullane Point
Saw this distant view of Edinburgh while on a walk from Aberlady to Gullane. It was a misty day and the sun was starting to set, which led to the nice silouhette of Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh Castle.
The reason there is such a sharp contrast between the water and the background is because the water's horizon is quite a bit closer than Edinburgh, and the parts of Edinburgh you see here are high up (i.e. you can't see the actual coastline) and seen through mist. (i.e. I didn't just photoshop two images together here which, I admit, it does look a bit like i did!).

The Sinclair Fountain
This is part of the "Sinclair Fountain" which used to be on Princes St and was funded by the author Catherine Sinclair. It is now located on part of the old Caledonian Railway - one of many old lines around Edinburgh which has become a walk/cycleway.
