Pont du Gard 1

The Pont du Gard is part of the 31 mile long aquaduct system connecting the water supply at Uzès to Nîmes. It was built around 19BC by the Romans. The weather was surprisingly not so great the day we visited Pont du Gard. In fact we had to run for the car when we were leaving as a monster thunder storm was bearing down on us!
